For those who don't bleed printed circuits, whenever anything is transported over the internet (a webpage, a video; anything), it's first broken into separate pieces called packets. These are then squirted over many separate routes to the destination (like your browser) which puts them back together. The cool part is that the specific route each piece takes doesn't matter, as long as it gets there. The other cool part is that it doesn't matter what you're sending; it's all just data to the internet!
